eldavojohn (898314) writes "In Septemeber, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will decide on Sistema's request that Russia bans imports of 90 nm ICs for use in televisions, Glonass/GPS units, industrial automation systems, automotive electronics and cellphones. Sistema ('which owns businesses that operate in the IT, telecoms, banking, house building and oil sectors') has been lobbying through the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies to remove the threat of imported competition once its new 90nm process plant is up and running."
